Annal Ambedkar Business Champion Scheme 2023
It was on March 20, 2023 when the budget for Tamil Nadu state was submitted. After it happened, the state government proposed an entirely new program titled Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Scheme to implement it in the upcoming fascial year.
The scheme was mainly designed to focus on the economic development of SC/ST entrepreneurs of the state. As per the scheme, the state government of TN is likely to give a subsidy of 35% along with an interest subsidy of 6% for loans.
The amount will be used to purchase equipment and machinery. The budget estimate for the session 2023–2024 is to provide a funding of Rs 100 crore.

- As per an update released on May 12, 2023, the MSME Department is going to chair the program
- The program will help provide each beneficiary with a subsidy on 35% capital that comes out to be of 15 crore
- The approved working capital of the project interest subvention for a maximum of 2 years
- You need to be less than 55 years of age to join the program
- They will select a retired banker as the credit mentor for every district
- A state level steering committee will also be made to check program’s operation on a quarterly basis
- There will be proper training for all selected recipients
